Abstract:

Magnetic intelligent compound which is a composite polishing material of magnetic particles, abrasives and adhesive can be solidfied. Its polishing performance is to a large extent affected by the distribution of particles. Since the polishing performance of this material is based on the distribution of particles, the effects of applied magnetic field, particles density, and the size of particle cast on the distribution of MAGIC particles is studied in this paper. The results showed it is easier for magnetic particles to form cross and cluster chain, given strong applied magnetic field, small size of magnetic particle, and high magnetic particle density. Otherwise, short chain is easier to form.
