Abstract:
Based on NACA airfoil profile and the structure of beveled vortice generator, a novel beveled design of NACA pin-fin and its configuration in the cooling channel of turbine blade were proposed. Numerical simulation was conducted to investigate the flow and heat transfer characteristics of this pin-fin arrays in the cooling channel. The detailed physical field distributions of the flow and heat transfer were discussed and the overall thermal performance was also explored. The result indicated that the bevel cut of the pin-fin can produce lasting and stable longitudinal vortices to strengthen the disturbance of flow field, yielding a good effect on enhancing heat transfer of the cooling channel. © 2021, Editorial Department of Journal of Aerospace Power.
