Abstract:
In order to accurately and timely fabricate custom titanium implants, a method was proposed, which built a lost model of the custom implants and an injection mold by stereolithography 3D printing. The results show that by this method, the titanium implants can reflect the patient's individual characteristics accurately. The chemical composition, mechanical properties and precision of the custom implants are appropriate to meet the clinical implantation requirements of the national standards and the pharmaceutical industry standards. More than 100 clinical cases of custom implant has been implemented successfully.
