Abstract:
As bimodulous material being a typical material with different elastic moduli in tension and compression, bimodulous panel aluminum foam core circular laminated plate is equivalent to laminated plate composed of three different materials under uniform load. Static equilibrium equation of bimodulous panel aluminum foam core circular laminated plate under uniform load is established using theory of elasticity. The location of neutral plane in bimodulous panel aluminum foam core circular laminated plate is determined by the utilization of static equilibrium equation. The large deflection bending deformation differential equations of bimodulous panel aluminum foam core circular laminated plate are derived, and relation expression between central deflection of circular laminated plate and uniform load is obtained. Through the FEM analysis of circular laminated plate, the maximum error is only 3.8%, and the correctness of the method is verified. The numerical example shows that for the large bending deflection of bimodulous panel aluminum foam core circular laminated plate, one should use elastic theory with different elastic moduli in tension and compression, instead of with the same elastic modulus, the latter would lead to an error more than 5%, which is the allowable maximum calculation error in engineering.
